Waterlife have brought out a new Natural Tea Tree Remedy for freshwater aquariums.

Waterlife Nova+ treats parasites, bacteria and fungus in freshwater aquariums and is a great all round treatment, perfect for beginners finding it hard to diagnose a possible illness and also for seasoned professionals. Nova+ uses the natural effects of tea tree to treat parasites such as Trichodina, Velvet, Chilodenella, gill and body flukes, bacterial infections such as fin rot and many more...

Usage:
Remove any zeolite or carbon from the filtration and switch off any UV sterilizers.
Add 2.5ml per 25 litres every day for 5 days then carry out a 50% water change.

A 250ml bottle is sufficient for a 5 day course on a 500litre (110 Gal.) aquarium.

Hi Hanne,

The product advises to leave 48 hours after the 50% water change before starting a new course of treatment.

Hi Matilda,

I would suggest eSHa Exit treatment for ich.

Nova+ is an all round treatment and not that strong (its good to use if people are unsure what is wrong with their fish).

1. Do l have to stop feeding during the course?
2. Fish is isolated and put in a small fish tank with no biological filtration. Do l need to change the water everyday or do l leave the water until the course is finished?Thank you.

Hi Mabel,

1. You can continue to feed as normal during the treatment
2. You can use this treatment in the main tank, you just need to remove any Carbon or Zeolite filtration you have (as this absorbs the treatment).
